Iron Maiden Welding & Inspection Services was founded in 2010 by Caitlyn Schuft. After years of working for other companies and completing many side jobs, she decided to officially launch her own welding business.

Caitlyn has worked in the welding industry for almost 18 years. She got her start, right out of high school, in the prestigious Butte College Welding Program earning many different welding certifications and a degree in Welding Technology. Her early years of training were spent in fabrication shops and two different aluminium boat companies.

Caitlyn’s desire to learn and expand her knowledge base led her to work for a local well drilling and pump company. While there, she learned the dying art of 3 phase electrical motor rewinding. To bring her skills full circle Caitlyn took on the position of Plant Maintenance Technician for a local sand plant. While there she was able to put to use all of her many acquired skills.

As time went by, Caitlyn wanted to take her welding career even further, so she decided to become a Certified Welding Inspector for American Welding Society. In 2012, she took a position at American River College in Sacramento, California as a Welding Professor. She spent eight semesters teaching there and came away with an even broader knowledge of welding. Caitlyn’s current focus revolves around her welding shop and inspection services.
